Nikolas Loukakis was born in 1978 in Athens and grew up in Heraklion of Crete, spending much of his childhood climbing and exploring mountains. Thus, his love for photography goes back to these experiences having marked his professional and personal evolution ever since.
His career in photography began ten years ago and specializes in travelogue photography, since traveling is one of his great passions in life.
From 2006 until 2010, he works as a professional photographer in “Road Editions SA” where he created and published the travel guide of “Mount Athos” and also the maps of many Greek islands (Milos, Kimolos, Patmos, Tinos etc)
Moreover, he cooperated with the Greek Ministry of Culture & Tourism (cultureguide.gr) and with “Agrotouristiki SA”. His works is published in several Greek magazines (Elliniko Panorama, Travelogue etc) and has also been featured on SKAI television.
He currently lives between Athens and Crete but he works everywhere, chasing light everywhere he goes in an attempt to capture within his camera lens the unique Greek nature.
