About
I am a full-time employee of Wegmans Food Marlets Inc. My passion outside of work is drawing and painting. My main focus is with soft pastels and subject is landscapes. I have always drawn and created art since I was young but never really took my art seriously. I have recently taken a couple of art classes and am very committed to improving my skills. My goal is to be part of the local art community if only on a part time basis. I love to paint and I would love to share my work and learn from others.
My Art
My primary focus is soft pastels however I am also interested in watercolor. I have used liquid pencil and am starting to use this water soluble meduim as an underpainting.
I live in rural Western NY and there is a lot of inspiration all around me for painting landscapes. Often times the most inspiring scene is just a quick glance out of the car window at some roadside flowers along a farmers field.
My Portfolio
In my portfolio are a number of pastels and drawings I have done starting in 2011, the year I began to truly pursue art. I plan to continue adding paintings on a regular basis and hope to see some growth! I have joined the Wetcanvas forum and have already recieved valuable comments and it has been great to see others work and experience.
